Street League - Nationals
40 Racer Limit - (8/40)
Friday May 1st, 2026 - 1:00 PM
Crew - LAPD
POSTPONEMENT NOTICE!!!
Sorry to anyone who may have already made travel plans. But I am postponing the Street League National and AER events in SLC this spring. I haven't been able to find a venue that I'm really happy to run an event of this scale at. So instead of forcing the event to happen I'm going to downgrade it to a small regional for now while looking for venues that can hold larger events for the future.
Thank you to everyone who signed up and reached out. We will still be racing Street League 5/2 and/or 5/3 so look for that event listing closer to race day.
This is the place where you can register for the SLC Throwdown Street League Spec 2026 National!
If you are flying multiple specs please register for them at the following links:
The Street League Season V National will take place in a single day at this event!!!
This event is part of the Street League Season V National Series and all Street League Spec rules will be strictly enforced. See the Rules & Downloads page in the Resources tab above.
Overview of the event:
Pilots will get a free practice session in the morning. Then there will be a minimum of 2 organized practice rounds to seed the initial heats. Pilots will then compete in 6-8 "points rounds". The top 8 from points rounds will move onto the Elite 8 final and 9-16 will go to the Next 8 final.
Weather:
This will be an "all weather" event. As long as we can keep the flight line and pits dry, the race will go on, so come with your drones prepared. In the event of severe weather we will do everything in our power to complete a minimum of 6 points rounds, after which the results are final if the event can't continue.
Software:
A final call for the RPM limiting software for Season V will be made before April 1st. The software will be available on all main branch Betaflight supported flight controllers. Pilots are encouraged to use the Season IV Hex's or BF 2025-12 with "Race Pro" option flashed and a 13k RPM limit to train in the meantime.
Racing will take place Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Friday is NOT a setup day so plan for travel on Thursday.
Morning:
- "All you can fly" free practice will start as soon as the track is set up in the morning
- Pilots will get a minimum of 2 timed practice packs in
Afternoon:
- Pilots will race in 6-8 Points Rounds to seed the Elite 8 and Next 8. The number of Points Rounds will be announced at the end of round 3.
Evening:
- Elite 8 and Next 8 finals will run in parallel with races alternating.
- Podium ceremony will take place directly after the Elite 8 Golden Heat
