Get ready for another Outdoor Race of our 2025 Summer Drone Race Series at Piano Ranch!
Event is open to all Drone Pilots and Skill Levels. Spectators and prospective pilots are also welcome to join and hang out!
*Pilots please register in advance to have your frequency assigned beforehand. Otherwise we will assign your frequency in person.
Details:
Where: Piano Ranch Field - 3608 324Th Ave SE, Fall City, WA 98024
When: 12pm for setup (help appreciated!), 1pm Pilots Meeting & Tech Inspections, 1:30pm Practice, 2pm Qualifying, 3:30pm Bracket Races, 5:30pm Teardown.
Pilot Fee: $5 w/ Club Membership*, $10 w/o Membership. Specators are FREE.
*Basic Membership to FPV Racing Seattle is $20 or Piano Ranch Membership is $50, good for 1 year. Cash/Paypal accepted.
Drone Specs:
Frame size - OPEN (up to 7" propeller)
Battery size - OPEN
Weight - OPEN
Video Transmitter - Analog, HDZero, or DJI O4 in Race Mode
Race Format:
Qualifying sessions will have 4-Pilots racing together with a 2-minute Time Limit.
Qualifying rank is based on total time of your fastest 2 consecutive laps.
Plan to run 3-4 rounds of qualifying races.
Pilots will be seeded into the Main Event Races based on Qualifying Rank.
Main Event Races will usually be Double-Elimination Bracket followed by a Chase-The-Ace Final between Top-4 pilots.
Season Championship:
1st place will receive 100 points for this Event, 2nd place receives 99 points, 3rd 98 points, etc...
Season points total will be based combined points from all race events
Lowest 3 event scores are dropped from Season Total
VTX Frequencies:
5658 (R1)
5732 (R3)
5843 (R6)
5917 (R8) Preferred for HDZero and DJI O4
Additional Info:
All pilots must have AMA membership (modelaircraft.org) for insurance reasons.
Generator power on-site, but suggest bringing field-charging equipment as backup.
No official restrooms on-site. The nearest gas station is ~2 miles in town.
No concessions on-site, but food is available in town, or can have food delivered.
Recommended equipment: Folding table, Chair, Canopy, Extension Cord, Bug Repellent, Food/Snacks.
