Race Day Format

To ensure competitive and focused racing for all skill levels, pilots will be divided into time slots with 4–6 pilots per group.

Example Sunday Raceday Schedule:

• Heat 1 – 6:00 PM EST

• Heat 2 – 6:30 PM EST

• Heat 3 – 7:00 PM EST

• Final Heat – 7:30 PM EST

If you cannot attend your assigned time slot, please message Kevin/LazyDay through any social media platform to request a time adjustment.

Race/Points System

• Races per Heat: Each heat consists of 7 races.

• Race Objective: You're racing against the clock, not just your group.

• Scoring:

  • All race times across heats will be compared.

  • Points are awarded based on your overall position in each race.

  • Points from all races will be combined to determine final standings.

Race Rules

1. General Rules

• Respect and Sportsmanship: All pilots are expected to maintain respect for one another. Unsportsmanlike conduct may lead to disqualification.

• Equipment: Pilots must use Velocidrone (latest version) with compatible controllers. Test your setup beforehand.

• Check-In: Pilots must check in 10 minutes before their assigned time slot to confirm readiness.

2. Equipment & Internet

• Equipment Failures: Pilots may request a re-run only for controller issues during the first 5 seconds of a race. No re-runs will be granted for issues later in the heat.

• Internet Issues: While racing over the internet can introduce challenges (e.g., lag), we’ve structured smaller rooms to minimize these issues and provide the best experience possible.

Track Release Information

• Weekly Track Release: Thursdays at 12:00 PM EST (3 days prior to race day)

• Pilot Group Assignments: Based on leaderboard standings as of Saturday at 10:00 PM EST.

• Race Day Schedule Posting: Saturday at 10:30 PM EST in the Discord channel.
